Dear gemiusTraffic users,
In today’s newsletter we would like to present changes introduced in the URL tab in the gemiusTraffic interface. The way the tab is organised is a novelty. There are also many new functional changes – a URL addresses search option and the statistics for this search, as well as administration of the URL tree. URL Search The ranking of URL addresses for a currently chosen URL filter is presented in the URL Search tab. In order to activate the URL Search tab, you have to click on the expanding bar with this title. The URL addresses search option can be especially useful when verifying the correctness of a filter definition as it allows you to evaluate its work before the gathering of data is started. An open URL filter is the one which is searched by default (1). The data are sorted according to the chosen period (2) and statistic (3). Clicking on the “Search” button (4) displays the URL addresses which fulfil the URL filter criteria. The process of searching can be paused at any moment by clicking on the “Pause” button (5). The results of the search can be divided into groups with 100 URL addresses. Clicking on the link “Save results” (6) exports the results to a csv or xls file.

URL Tree
In order to activate the URL Tree tab, you have to click on the expanding bar with this title. Data concerning the URL addresses tree and domains for a currently chosen URL filter are presented in this tab. We would like to draw your attention to the new options in this tab: the possibility of viewing the URL tree for each defined filter the choice of time span for URLs presented in the tree the choice of criterion according to which URLs in the tree are sorted the choice of period and QuickStats statistic. The “All URL addresses” filter (1) is the default view and presents all URL addresses from which, in a given period, data were sent to an account sorted according to the chosen statistic – Page Views, Visits, Visitors (cookies). A gemiusTraffic user can view the URL tree for every individually defined filter. It enables him or her to see the data for a chosen subset of URL addresses. The user can also define the period for which URL addresses will be presented by choosing one of the following options: Yesterday, Current week, Current month or Previous month. The expanding menus (2 and 3) allow you to choose the period and statistic. After defining these parameters, you have to click on the “Apply” button (4) and the first 50 domain names will appear in the central window. Detailed information about URL addresses of specific domains is available when clicking the + icon near the specific domain name.

Marking any element of the URL tree updates the statistics presented below so that they show cumulative data for the group of URL addresses on the lower levels of the URL tree. If you have any questions, please contact us at: pro@gemius.com – we will be pleased to provide any further information.
